2023 Recipients

Ash is a graduate of Central (ISP).  He started classes at Western this summer and will continue working towards his dream of being an English teacher. 

Ty'Rionna will be attending Western in the fall and has dreams of becoming a high school English teacher

(can I get a "heck ya" for all future educators). We had a blast shopping with her bestie and mom. Send good energy her way as she starts this next adventure!

Jazzy is attending St. Mary's University of Minnesota this fall. She is excited to get started on the volleyball court and in the classroom! She aspires to be a teacher one day and we have no doubt she will be a great one. Good Luck to Jazzy! Go Cardinals!!

Tristen, who will be attending Viterbo in the fall, was the 4th student GearUp took shopping for dorm supplies. I think store employees are starting to recognize us. Thanks to the Margery J. Stanfield Fund of the La Crosse Community Foundation for helping us fund our mission.

Unity graduated from Logan High School and is headed to UW-Stout to pursue a degree in early childhood education. She was great to work with and will make an excellent teacher!

Anna graduated from Logan High School and will be attending Western to become a medical assistant in the fall. She aspires to become a registered nurse in the future. GearUp took her shopping so she can arrive on campus prepared with dorm essentials. Her favorite color is pink, and almost everything she owns is pink! She picked an amazing friend, Madison, to accompany and assist her on her shopping day.

Sterling is a Logan grad planning on attending UW-River Falls. He is planning on playing football and studying PE and health education. We are seriously loving all the kids wanting to go into education! Good luck to Sterling and "Go Falcons!"

Katie is a Logan grad with dreams of studying chemistry and forensic science. I know some of you are thinking "How much shopping can they possibly do?" Well, as much as it takes to help our local kids get started on their adulting dreams. Good luck to Katie and "Go Pioneers!"

Aubree is a graduate of Central and has a personality that can light up a room...or in our case, Target! She is beyond excited about starting school and we have no doubt she will be an amazing asset to the Western community. Go, Cavaliers!

Blake is a Central grad and will be headed to UW-Plateville in the fall. We were able to get him set up with all the dorm supplies he needs to get started on his path to becoming a mechanical engineer! Good luck:)
