20 Students!!

2024 was a successful year for GearUp! We jumped from 11 students in 2023 to 20 students in 2024!

Household Incomes

35% came from households making less than 40,000/year; another 40% from households in the 40,000-60,000 range.

FAFSA Info

40% of the students had a FAFSA expected family income as a negative number, meaning they would not be expected to contribute any money towards their child’s education. Another 15% had an expected contribution of only $1500.00.

Schools Served

55% from Logan (11); 40% from Central (8); 5% from Aquinas (1)

First-Generation Students

70% of the students are first-generation students.

Oh, The Places They Will Go!

65% are attending a 4-year, 35% are attending a 2-year. 80% of the students will be living in dorms; 10% in apartments; 10% at home.
